On the 4th of July Lytham C U13 team extended their unbeaten run to 5 games.  Having won the toss Lytham elected to bat but did not have things all their own way and lost wickets at regular intervals early on in their innings.  Fortunately Lytham's middle order batting showed more  resilience and eventually managed to lift the score to 107 off their allocated 20 overs with good contributions being made by Lesley Crowther, Tom Nye and Danny Elliott.

 

However, Walton le Dale also found the slow uneven bounce of the wicket difficult to score runs on and struggled through out their innings although they were helped by some lethargic and error prone fielding by Lytham.

 

Walton le Dale were eventually dismissed for 53 runs leaving Lytham "C" winners by  54 runs.  However, if Lythams winning run of games is to continue, more concentration and application will be required in the field.
